Why Gospel Assurance?
My aim and prayer for this site is that it would serve as a reminder and encouragement for us all to rest in the sufficiency of Jesus for us, and in His blood-bought promises to us. God wants us to know that we are His children in Christ, and the supreme assurance we have is Jesus Himself and His objective work of redemption for sinners. Christ alone is our salvation and any other “gospel” that proclaims salvation is Jesus plus ANYTHING is a false gospel that cannot save. The gospel is not complicated. Jesus did it all and He alone is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. We will never be enough, but praise God that He is.

“Those who dive in the sea of affliction bring up rare pearls.” – Charles Spurgeon Whether or not this is the intended point Spurgeon was trying to get at, it makes me think of 1 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of

Saint – Sinner – Sufferer
I believe there is a lot of growth that needs to happen in the Church around the topic of suffering, and specifically mental illness. I’ve seen many people needlessly injured (and experienced it myself) due to the lack of understanding of the saint-sinner-sufferer aspect of being a Christian. I hope to shed some light in this area because Jesus cares and has much to teach us about Himself through our suffering.
